The Automotive Distribution Network, an automotive aftermarket program group consisting of 47 members, 248 WD locations and $3 billion-plus in annual sales throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Australia, recently held its first-ever convention in Las Vegas.
The event, dubbed "Fusion '07," attracted more than 1400 participants, and marked the first time Parts Plus warehouses, auto stores and Car Care Centers assembled with Independent Auto Parts of America (IAPA) WDs, jobbers and Automotive Service Professional (ASP) shops.
In addition to numerous technical and business seminars and a sizeable vendor exposition, attendees also participated in a panel discussion with aftermarket industry leaders on the future direction of the automotive industry. The forum was unique in that it
allowed for Q&A among key executives in the aftermarket and all attendees at the event.
During the meeting, Bob Barstow, Automotive Distribution Network Director of Marketing, announced major radio sponsorships of sports broadcasts, as well as an arrangement to participate in the NASCAR Angels television show.
